Yesterday morning the drive was coated with ice

And now, today, it's warm ... turned out quite nice
No signs of snow caught up along road edges ...
Neither is there any drifts sitting under the hedges

So if the groundhog thing yesterday's anything to go by
Combined with the conditions today - then clear skies ...
Will continue through to the end of this winter season ...
As we wonder about the environmental changes' reason

But give thanks for all of the things it saves us from ...
Shovelling, sanding, salting, de-icing, sealing some
Even though there's just an ever so slight sadness
For we lose some of the fun of winter's gladness
