Looking out of the window I see

A picture which reflects you and me
Branches caked with a dew of ice
A filmy white layer with a price

A ticket which states a high amount
- No money stipulated, but a fount
Which has frozen in time and space
To cause a barrier stopping the grace

Of your presence in my very humble abode
This tugs at my heart as you've not showed
For warnings of danger you have heeded
Ones which indicated you weren't needed

But this was not the intent - hear me now
It's just the fear you might slip on the snow
Which covers my path all the way to door
And causes nasty accidents, which, for sure

You will have - if you attempt to maneuver
Wheels - then spin around, and perhaps over
So please take care and wait until the ice
Has dissipated - then you can make a choice
