Abstract art expressed a certain feeling

Even though it left just a few reeling ...

For "drip-style" paintings get blank stares

As we try and fathom just who would dare



Try and sell ... something we all can make

Just by spreading paper under walls we cake

With paint splatter here, there and everywhere

Then framing it with a gilt edge, thus to share



Perhaps, the really amazing feat of it all ...

Is how Pollock (and others) ran with this ball

Achieving fame and recognition for eternity

When others slave on without any return fee
