Expected connection

Failed its inspection

Leaving quiet dispair

... Emotions laid bare



Tears softly fell ...

Amidst sullen yells

Heart upped its pace

Mind in other space



Immersed then in skills

Avoiding the bitter pill

Swallowing back pride

Softening heart denied



Right around to other edge

Of a clock striking a wedge

Between emotions fooled
