Withdrawal
On this day in nineteen seventy-three
Nixon pulled our troops completely free
From any further obligation to protect
The life of South Viet-Nam (so suspect)
For after twenty years of fighting
It became clear we had no sighting
To an end to all of the aggression
As there was never a suspension
Even when a truce was called
We were always, always, fooled
And so the war became a sham
As the major loser was Viet-Nam
