A Fool's Passion

We all have concerns over guilt
And, for some ... it may even tilt
But, if we become so obsessed
Then, we'll be quite a bit depressed

For what is past is past and best forgotten
As there's nothing we can do to soften ...
It cannot be undone, nor can it be erased
And accepting that gives us a better face

All we need do is go on with life on a better keel
Knowing how the past deeds have made us feel
And not wanting to visit those sensitivities again
We buy ourselves a ticket upon a cleaner train

And deal with the passions that make us feel good
The ones we like to revisit, and always should ...
Those ones which don't involve any kind of guilt ...
The passions for which we live ... that don't wilt ...
