Peach Dusk

Tonight ... a really lovely dusk
Orange-peach, charcoal, blue (a must)
Signifying day's end of the first of this new year
Secretly filling all our hearts with joy and good cheer

The bright colors and contrasts show real edges
Leading us to want to make some firm pledges
Warming hearts, minds and souls to the task
Filling us with desire to travel new paths

Sun seats itself on the edge of the horizon
Aquas merge into all of the dark cloud linings
And as the oranges evolve into sultry pinks
Eyes are gazing quickly forward ... for just one more blink

Making the equation of a new year now unleashed
To this beautiful sunset, which started out in peach
And now, as the orange-pinks fade way down into the west
It evokes sounds and tunes to make this year the very best ...
