Looked up in the sky earlier tonight

Saw an apparition - quite a sight ...

For just hanging in the afternoon sky

Was a half-moon with one star nearby



And over in the other corner - a haze

Caused by a misty sun ... all ablaze

For both celestial beings were in league

A mirrored image ... which so intrigued



It was as if they both knew to celebrate

This so important day on which we relate

The story of a virgin birth ... a miracle then

Just as these spheres share space in a blend
