From the bedroom window this morning
A vision comes with an impact dawning
For all around as far as the eye can see
Is a white blanket of snow ... a few trees
And further down the hill ... the aqua eye
A vast pool of blue-green, edging the sky
The only part of the flat landscape not white
Just a cool and murky stillness - quite a sight
Rising up out of the vast virgin-like cream layer
An angry eye ... striking a quite certain terror ...
For the cold which created the thick powder ...
Has not yet iced the lake ... so it's corn chowder
