It is no ordinary love I have for the music of Sade

I love them all ... and will never forget the day ...

I called into the station to give the d.j. the songs

Each one heard, with times played right along ...



But he told me the songs I listed weren't played in a row

You could have fooled me ... for I'd heard them bestowed

Just that way ... from early morning till the moment I called 

Listing every title, along with the time started (the exact tool)



But the grand prize was not to be mine on that day ...

For my interpretation of "in a row" was not their say

So, once again ... I'd missed the boat ... sailed on ...

As I looked on from the dock ... and sang my sad song
