The time has almost come for us all to say ...

"Happy Christmas" to each other on the day 

So then we can go on and make it sizzle ...

Having shared that thought (so we don't fizzle)



Many of us will sit around with family and friends

Sharing food and company from now till it ends

Making ourselves merry in all that we partake

As we engorge ourselves so much we shake



This will be the outer edge of all of the merriment

For nothing feels quite so good as that compliment

We make to each other and to our very own bodies ...

For 'tis the season to enjoy ourselves and not be shoddy
