It's never as good as the first time ...

No matter how often one reads the rhyme

Either it works the very first time or not

If it doesn't ... then there's a truly vast pot 



To dip into ... to find another just right

So many new verses still left to write

So many thoughts yet to place into words

So many new ways in which to be heard



Some will happen along - right the first time

And those will be good - because they are prime

A taste in the mouth ... a patter in the heart ...

Those will be the ones which are truly art ...
