Herbs are wonderful when used appropriately

Bringing out so much flavor in soups ... like tea
To which has been added cinnamon or bergamot
And then is added water ... absolutely boiling hot

Bringing all of those flavors together all at once
(Heat does this ... especially when it's a plant ...)
Instead of herbs minced or grated, and then jarred
Some of which turn extremely brittle ... quite hard!

Especially, Rosemary ... which doesn't do very well
Unless it's recently plucked ... then it's quite swell ...
And then when you add it to your gravy, soup or stew
The full flavor really adds a boost to fan away the blues
